About Us

Ana's heart belongs to Pico. She's practically part of the island, thanks to her grandparents' roots. They made wine, worked the land, and even built their house from scratch. After falling in love with specialty coffee and working as a barista in London and Lisbon for a while, Ana realized that her true calling was a simpler life, closer to her roots. So, she now spends her days enjoying the island's charms and savoring the aroma of her own homemade coffee brew.

Meanwhile, Filipe is a man of many talents. He's a photographer, a foodie, and a lover of the sea. In fact, he's so obsessed with the ocean that he'll dive into it, fish from it, cook with it, and just generally hang out near it as much as possible. When he discovered that he could indulge all of his passions in one place - Pico - he was hooked. And we're not just talking about the fish he caught! When he's not busy organizing pop-up dinners and food retreats in Lisbon and the Alentejo region, he's always up for a nature walk or a fishing trip.

Atlantic Brine was created with the aim of sharing the beauty of the island and culture with those who visit. As certified guides, they take pleasure in presenting the exceptional experiences that Pico has to offer, and in giving an insight into the life and customs of the people of the Azores.
